Anne Marie Iarocci: 1935 – 2022

Anne Marie Iarocci , 87, of Carefree, AZ passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. Anne was born in Bronxville, NY on February 18, 1935, to Arthur and Mary Jehle. After graduating from The Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in White Plains, NY, Anne worked for several years as an administrator in the insurance industry, including managing teams of keypunch operators for early computer mainframes. She married Anthony Iarocci Sr. in April 1967.

Anne and Tony lived in Highland, IN until they moved their family to Paradise Valley, AZ in the spring of 1976.
Anne was very active in her Catholic church communities (Blessed Sacrament in Scottsdale and Our Lady of Joy in Carefree) and with charities. She was named Channel 10 KSAZ Spirit of Arizona Volunteer of the Year for her hospice work in the 1990s. Anne continued her philanthropic work and volunteered for over two decades at the Foothills Caring Corps. She was a key contributor and mentor who gave generously of her time and her gifts, and encouraged others to do the same. She was instrumental in the growth of this non-profit organization serving older adults in our community. Helping her neighbors stay connected to the community and their faith was important to her, as was supporting the elderly during trying times.

Anne’s final years were spent living happily in Carefree, AZ. She was kind-hearted and high-spirited, a dog lover, a dedicated Fighting Irish football fan, a supportive, loyal friend, and she was completely beloved by her family. She leaves as her successors in life her son, Tony Jr., his wife, Diann, also of Carefree, Maria Leibow, her husband, Spencer, of Phoenix, four grandchildren, Anthony III (Penn), Emily, Molly, and Andrew Iarocci, and two great-grandsons, Leo and Louis Iarocci.

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church at 10 AM on December 8th. In lieu of flowers, Anne’s family requests that you consider a donation to Foothills Caring Corps (foothillscaringcorps.com/donate).
