COMMUNITY MEETING RE: REZONING DESERT RURAL TO COMMERCIAL BUFFER

AGENDA: This is a grassroots effort by residents of Cave Creek to oppose the rezoning sought by profit-first motivators: (1) Welker Real Estate Development of Mesa, AZ looking to construct 40 unit apartment buildings (#Z-22-02); Janet Mohr Real Estate of Scottsdale, AZ desires to ingress into the Saguaro West and surrounding residential neighborhoods for the purpose of building 25 foot tall, 2-story apartments plus professional offices and make a future application for historical significance to obtain tax reduction and other personal incentives (#Z-22-03); and Kimley-Horn Developers of Phoenix, AZ seeking to develop 3.6 acres of retail and commercial buildings (#Z-22-04]. Don’t be fooled that this is for affordable housing for town employees. Rents start at $2,000/mo. Please come to the meeting.
