Carefree residents: Remember last year when Liberty Utilities had proposed to raise our sewer rates by 42%?
Although I don’t live in Carefree, I was going to be impacted by the increase and I filed as an Intervener in the Liberty case with the Arizona Corporate Commission (ACC). But I needed some technical help.

John Crane brought forward key technical information on the sewer gas smell in Spanish Village in Carefree.
John Crane sought and attained resolutions from the Chamber of Commerce and the Carefree Restaurant Association opposing the rate increase.
We worked together securing technical drawings and information on the Liberty sewer lines and building permits.
All of this was new information and very effective in the ACC Hearings in reducing the increase.
