The 2021-22 Cactus Shadows basketball season is approaching rapidly and this year’s team will have a lot of new faces. The 20-21 season was a tremendous success as the boys were Region Champions for the second time in three seasons and advanced to the round of 8 in the state tournament. They will be looking to defend their region championship after graduating their entire starting rotation and look to break in a lot of rising young players.
The season kicks off with a Thanksgiving holiday Tournament hosted by Paradise Valley and Red Mtn. High schools. Nov 22nd-24th.

The NEST is back open to all fans and CCUSD looks forward to hosting another exciting year of Falcon Basketball. Please come out and support the boys as they look to qualify for a fifth straight year for the post season state tournament.
During the last four seasons, the Falcons have set new records across the board:
- Four Straight Post Season Births
- Three Elite 8 Appearances
- Three Straight Region Coach of the year awards
- Two Region Championships
- All-time Single Season W/L Record (23-4 2019)
- All-time 20 Game winning streak (2020)
The Falcons are also getting it done off the court. They have partnered with Light of The Desert Church again and on Nov 15th will pack and load Christmas Shoe Boxes for those in need. They will be working to support other community efforts including the local food bank and other community projects.
