Zydonik named executive director

Cave Creek – Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center has named Leigh Zydonik as its new executive director. Zydonik will oversee the daily operations of the food bank’s headquarters and offsite locations.

Prior to joining the food bank, on November 16, Zydonik served the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) at the University of Findlay in Ohio, an organization that supports a network of community partners that seek collaborative solutions to complex social problems that affect residents across the region. In addition to her former role as director of the CCE, Zydonik taught business classes at the University of Findlay. She also held positions with the Northwest Ohio Flood Mitigation Partnership, the Arts Partnership, and Marathon Petroleum Company. Zydonik received a Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green State University and Master of Science from the University of Dayton.

“I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to lead the Foothills Food Bank and Resource Center,” says Zydonik. “I look forward to continuing to build on the great foundation that Pam DiPietro and her team established over the past 18 years.”
Zydonik believes communities are strongest when they work together.

“I am eager to meet, collaborate and work with our clients, volunteers, donors and community partners,” adds Zydonik. “Together, we will continue to improve the quality of life for individuals and families in need in numerous desert foothills communities.”
