What is Chloroquine?

Chloroquine is still one of the most widely used anti-malarials in the world today. This medication, in one form or analog or another, has been around for hundreds of years. It is revealing to me that when our talking heads start pontificating about this medication, they talk about it like it is a new medication and mention all the bad side effects. The main bad side effect which is retinopathy comes only after a couple decades of use, not the week or two we will use it for COVID-19.

Dr. Fauci wanted all kinds of studies done to determine if the medication is truly effective before using it. He said that is the only way he would consider using the medication. I would bet that if he was heading toward a ventilator for COVID-19 he may have a rapid attitude adjustment. This is typical of an academic physician’s approach to a problem, not wanting to use a medication until studies are done proving its efficacy. Meanwhile, hundreds of people are dying while the talking heads keep talking.

Why should we believe our so-called experts? Are you an expert because you get on television every chance you get? I wonder if there are stipends for that. Seems nothing works without payoff in this time of our lives. These experts are the same people that only a couple months ago said we could have well over a million deaths. What on earth are they basing this on? Are they as far off on this as everything else they say? I guess this does help them prove their relevancy to humanity. Blow your self-importance up and make yourself big.
We know chloroquine is safe because of its hundreds of years of use; however, the news media talks about the serious side effects of liver and renal toxicity. These are isolated instances and the news media is again being disingenuous in trying to frighten the American public into thinking these are dangerous medications. I guess the news media does not suddenly want to start telling the truth; why do investigative reporting when it is so much easier to just make up a story as you go.

All you Americans out there, I want to reassure you that chloroquine is effective and safe to take for malaria and although we do not know yet of its effectiveness in the treatment of COVID-19, I think perhaps it is just as safe. For the ivory tower boys, perhaps they will look at it closely when they have formed their clinical trials and come to their own conclusions.

Pending those results, I think it would be a rather reckless disregard for the patient not to try a medication like this in a time of crisis – if your patient is at death’s door. Perhaps it even borders on malpractice if the patient knows of the minimal risks for taking it and chooses to be treated with this medication.

God bless America and God bless all of you!
