Trump Rally!

Dear Editor,

On Wednesday President Trump’s huge rally in Phoenix was a barnburner and those of us who got in felt a lot of pride in our country and our state.  Life for millions of people in the US has improved under this President and I’m hoping for 4 more years.

Many people don’t like the President, but it is undeniable that much has been accomplished. Most of the good stuff has been done by the President with no help and much resistance from Congress.

Somehow Congress has to leave their hurt feelings and complaints behind and start doing the job we pay them to do (which is not more impeachment). Congress knows prescription drug prices need fixing and they also know that insurance companies are hell-bent on denying many health care claims at will.

If Congress wants to be a hero and get the acclaim the President gets wherever he goes, they need to get busy and pass legislation that brings down prescription drug prices and arbitrates reimbursements for doctors and hospitals with insurance companies to relieve patients from the millions of denied claims.

Why won’t Congress make themselves heroic and fix a few of the glaring problems which face so many of their constituents? No one is ever applauded when all they do is complain.

Congress has the power to do many things and now is the time for them to act.  Lay down the whip and pick up you pens. Write some bills that address the onerous costs of health care. You might be applauded for doing so.

Sincerely,

Charles Edwards
