J. J. Gresco, of North Scottsdale, recently had an amazing two weeks of competitive golf. He won the prestigious Nevada State Amateur July 7-10, and then followed that up the very next week by capturing the winner’s medal for the U. S. Amateur Sectional Qualifier in Las Vegas, which now advances him to play in our national amateur championship in Pinehurst, NC next month. He is a 2017 graduate of Notre Dame Prep and is now enrolled at UNLV, where he is a member of its golf team. Earlier this year, he and his team played in the NCAA Division I National Championship.
