Invasive Plant

Dear Sonoran Editor – please check out this link: http://aznps.com/invasives/Globe%20Chamomille%20Final.pdf

As a follow up to another writer’s Letter to the Editor a week or so ago, this information from a knowledgeable source might be of interest to us all. The globe chamomile, an invasive plant, is very apparent at this time. Our US Forest Service office on the Barlett Lake Road does  not seem to know anything about this plant. In fact, it is growing right outside their building. Neither does the botanist, whose number they gave us, seem interested in returning our calls.

Our greatest concern is that this plant will edge out our native lupine, poppies, globemallow, chuparosa and many other beautiful native bloomers.

I hope you can use this information to the advantage of the residents of our beautiful Desert Foothills!
