I will ignore the “Murrican KuteSpeak” battery upon the English language: why not “through?” However, does one drive through a window in order to be served, or does one use the drive-by lane?
My quarrel is with Gannett and its newspapers, especially the ultra-leftist Arizona Republic, for the following reason: A woman is described as the suspect. Fine, women constitute 51% of the US population, so we can discard 49% as men or other. She is described as “25 to 35 years old, 5 foot (sic) 4 inches and weighing about 160 pounds, with brown hair and eyes” (fortunate to have eyes!!). What is missing? Is she Northern European, Inuit, Pacific islander, Asian, South Asian, black, Native American? Television news channels report her as probably being Hispanic (GASP!!!).
With these data in hand, would it not be easier for citizens to BOLO for a person belonging to what is officially reported as an ethnic group constituting 30% of the population of Maricopa County (33% is closer to reality, including – AHEM! – distinguished permanent visitors from south of the border).
Why not cast aside this virulent political correctness, and report ALL the identifying features of the suspect?
