Join us to celebrate Earth Day with special guest Mother Earth. Mother Earth’s storytime will feature stories and activities focusing on taking care of the earth and being green. Let’s Recycle! Learn & Play for Kids
Learn about recycling and taking care of the environment at this fun and educational program for kids ages 3-7. This event will begin with a presentation about recycling from Phoenix’s Zero Waste initiative. The presentation will involve fun sorting activities and will be followed by a snack and craft. Siblings are welcome. Please call (480) 488-2286 to register, drop-ins also welcome.

Family Storytime
Children 2-6 and families are encouraged to join us for a 30-45 minute storytime featuring music, movement, craft & stories. Siblings are welcome. Storytime April 9th will be a special Yoga Family Storytime with healthy snack. Storytime April 23rd will be an Earth Day storytime featuring local performer Jan Sandwich as Mother Earth.

Baby & Toddler Storytime
Geared to children 10 months to 3 years, join us for a fun 25-minute romp with music, books, rhymes, fingerplays, and bubbles! There will be no storytime April 25.

Under the Sea: Ocean Art Explorers
Kids ages 3-8 are invited to explore the ocean with crafts and activities at Desert Foothills Library. This fun program will let kids explore what’s under the sea with art activities they can take home with them! Dive in and create something you’ll be “shore” to love! No registration necessary.

Family Yoga Storytime & Snack
Join our favorite mom & daughter yoga teachers, Crystal and Maddie for a special yoga storytime and healthy snack. No experience necessary, but come dressed to move! There will be stories, songs and yoga poses followed by a healthy treat. This storytime is in recognition of Week of the Young Child, a week celebrating early learning hosted by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Tuesday April 9th focuses on healthy eating and fitness. No registration needed.

Discovery Playdate: Preschool Playtime
Discovery playdate is unstructured playtime for children up to age 6 at Desert Foothills Library. This constructive free play is a great time to socialize with other children. Activities will rotate and include sensory activities, water table, building toys and manipulatives, STEM and technology toys, board books, art activities, and games. This is a new program at Desert Foothills Library that incorporates elements of Sensory Playdate and Little Builders programs. No registration necessary.

Once Upon a Time: Family Coloring Event
Join local artist Dominique Flann for this fun all ages family event! Interact creatively with your children & grandchildren. Together, create stories and art in Dominique’s uniquely interactive coloring book. As you collaborate with them in creating and discovering a simple story, you will help your little ones discover their own artistic voice. Cost is $15.00 and includes the coloring book you get to keep. Additional coloring books available for purchase. Call (480) 488-2286 to register.
