Rock The District gears up

It is hard to believe but yes, it has been 10 years since then Cactus Shadows student Melissa Nelson organized the first ever ROCK THE DISTRICT concert in support of the arts in Cave Creek Unified School District. Rock the District is our signature fundraiser for the Cave Creek Unified Education Foundation.

Since then, the Foundation has grown our pillars of support to four:
Music and the Arts
International Learning
Classroom Technology
Health and Wellness

We have provided just under $150,000 in grants to our classrooms through our “Grant the District Program.”

This year, we have decided to “GO BIG” to celebrate our 10 years of “Rockin’ for a Reason.” Mark your calendars for Friday and Saturday April 12-13.

This year we are partnering with the Town of Carefree to provide not one, but two days of amazing music in festival format. Our bands you know and love will be performing longer sets you won’t want to miss! We are also planning on hosting nationally-known bands that got their start right here in Arizona, so be sure to make it out to the show! Tickets will go on sale February 25th at ROCKTHEDISTRICT.NET

Question: Has your classroom or your child’s learning experience been enhanced with iPads, instruments, media resources, art supplies or health and wellness tools that were made possible by CCUEF and Rock the District?

Putting on a show of this scale is a huge undertaking requiring countless volunteer hours with limited financial resources. So at this time, in preparation for the show, we are asking all who have been “Touched by the Foundation” to show your support for our efforts and our classrooms by donating $10 today as a thank-you to our student promoters and performers that make this all possible
