The partial U.S. government shutdown (with suffering and inconvenience to the people) is still going-on. The US government began a Christmas time shutdown early Saturday December, 22 after Congress adjourned without passing a federal spending bill or addressing President Donald Trump’s demand for money to build a border wall.
People do not understand that when Donald Trump in his Presidential Announcement Speech in June 2015 said – “I would build a great wall. And nobody builds walls better than me, believe me. And I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great great wall on our southern border and I’ll have Mexico pay for that wall.”
Then why Trump precipitated government shutdown when, instead of asking money from Congress for border wall, he could have got money for border wall from Mexico as he promised in his Presidential Announcement Speech in June 2015?
