Governor Ducey to light Capitol Christmas Tree

PHOENIX — Governor Doug Ducey will light the Arizona State Capitol Christmas tree Monday morning in the Executive Tower lobby.

Grown in Northern Arizona, southwest of Flagstaff in the Coconino National Forest, the white 26-foot fir tree was harvested in an area where the forest had recently completed a Forest Restoration Treatment designed to restore natural ecologic function and to protect the community of Flagstaff from a catastrophic wildfire.

The Chandler High School Treblemakers, an award-winning barbershop chorus from Chandler, Arizona will again perform a medley of Christmas songs prior to the governor’s remarks and the lighting of the tree.
