Arizona’s Tallest Fresh-Cut Christmas Tree Arrives October 25

WHAT: For the 17th consecutive year, Outlets at Anthem is launching the holiday season as it welcomes the state’s largest fresh-cut Christmas tree!

The visually exciting event includes delivery of the 80-foot tree on an enormous flatbed trailer followed by its placement with a heavy-duty construction crane into a base where it will be on display for the holiday season. The arrival is a fantastic spectacle anticipated by television audiences across the Valley year after year.

The tree’s projected arrival time is 6:30 a.m.

WHO: Outlets at Anthem

WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 25

6:30 a.m. – Tree arrival

7:45 a.m. – Tree lifted into place (subject to weather)

WHERE: Outlets at Anthem is in North Phoenix off the I-17, just 15 minutes north of the Loop 101.

ADDITIONAL INFO & TREE FACTS:

  • This year’s tree is 80 feet tall topped with a 3-foot copper star (a nod to the state’s official metal)

  • The tree’s width is approximately 22-feet across

  • More than 1.5 miles of LED lights (approximately 10,000 bulbs) are used to illuminate the tree

  • More than 5,000 ornaments and bows decorate the tree

  • To secure the tree, it is lowered into a specially designed, permanent 3-foot-wide by 7-foot-deep well.

  • Six guy-wires are attached to the top portion of the tree to keep it steady and secure throughout the holiday season.

  • Nearly 120 gallons of fire retardant is sprayed on the tree for safety.
