Tatum Ranch To Stage 4,000-home Block Party:

Celebrating 30 years as a residential community

Question: How do you stage a block party when you have 4,000 homes on your block?

That’s what the Tatum Ranch Community Association will be doing October 20 when it teams-up with Tatum Ranch Golf Club for the largest single event in its history – a 30-Year Anniversary Block Party.

Headlining the event will be well-known Phoenix high energy dance band “City Nights.” Named one of Arizona’s top cover bands by KOOL Radio, “City Nights” will provide the finale to the day with two hours of live dance music from 6-8 p.m.

“Tatum Ranch began in 1988,” said Community Manager Scott Flanery. “This year we’re celebrating 30 years as a community and we’ve planned a big day of fun for our residents from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.”

Beginning at 11 is an ice cream social and other activities for children including bouncy houses, dunk tank, balloon animals, face painting and other family friendly activities. Food trucks as well as ice cream trucks will be on site. Spontaneous Krazy Karaoke will be available for those playful enough to sing.

The 30-year anniversary party is being co-produced by Tatum Ranch Golf Club which will be providing a barbeque meal for purchase and adult beverages in the evening. The event is being staged in Tatum Ranch Golf Club’s parking lot. People are encouraged to bring their own folding lawn chairs to enjoy other entertainment in the afternoon.

“The Tatum Follies” will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will feature talents from the neighborhoods of Tatum Ranch, including youth bands (pending), interpretive dance, singers and musicians.

A live hypnotist show is scheduled 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tatum Ranch’s own Dr. Mort Berkowitz, once voted College Entertainer of the Year, will present a unique and memorable show that will lighten hearts and minds. Live music with “City Nights” begins at 6:00 p.m.
