Lily Hutt, a fifth-grader at Desert Willow Elementary School, located in the Cave Creek Unified School District, was one of the winners of the ADOT Safety Message Contest held in April.
Lily’s entry of “Buckle Up Buttercup” came in on multiple entries, with four of those entries including proper contact information! Lily was invited to go to ADOT and type the phrase into their system herself!
This is the second year ADOT held the safety message contest. There were over 2,200 submissions this year.
