Tennis: Youth Drop-in Available

Scottsdale Ranch Park & Tennis Center offers Youth Drop-in for children and teens ages 5-18. Junior Match Play is scheduled on Fridays from 4-6 p.m. Each drop-in session is only $4 per child to play. The only requirements are that the child must be able to serve, keep score and rally.

The tennis instructors, provided by the facility, will prepare players for tournament style play in a fun, social environment. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to socialize with other tennis players, while in turn improving their knowledge and skill of the game.

April Pool’s Day – April 29

A sad fact: Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death to children ages 1-14. Learning water safety is imperative, especially so in Scottsdale. You’re invited to ‘April Pool’s Day’, Scottsdale’s free annual water safety awareness event from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at Eldorado Aquatic Center, 2301 N. Miller Road.

‘April Pool’s Day’ features a mock rescue scenario with Scottsdale Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services, interactive booths, games and drowning prevention information. This is a great way for families to kick off the summer season and get ready to practice safe behavior in and around water.
