Falcons baseball post tourney recap

– The Falcons won both games of their double header on Monday March 19, defeating Elk City Oklahoma 10-1 and Younkers 5-2.

– Nick Blascoe threw a shutout to get the win facing Elk City. He allowed only two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five. Falcons secured the victory thanks to six runs in the second inning. Ty Mead, Trent Tavares, and Matt Hall each had RBI’s in the big inning. Nathan Cassara and Ty Mead managed multiple hits for the Falcons, leading the team.

– In the second game, Wyatt McClaughin (sophomore) secured the win, throwing a complete game of 7 innings, allowing seven hits and two runs. McClaughlin struck out six, walked only 1. Zane Arrendale went 2 for 3 at the plate to lead the Falcons in hits.

3/21 –

Falcons won 5 games of Best of West Tourney, then fell to Yukon in the final game 5-2. Despite the loss, Tyler Williams delivered on the bump, throwing almost 6 innings, striking out 10. Falcons with only 6 hits, Skov leading the team with 2 singles. Falcons get some much needed rest for Spring Break, and return to the field Thursday March 29th, 7pm to face Shadow Mountain.
