Agents find 12 illegal aliens held in mobile home

TUCSON – Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents from the Nogales Station, along with Nogales Police Department officers, rescued 12 Mexican nationals who were being held in a mobile home park in Nogales, Arizona.

Agents and officers responded to the Mi Casa Trailer Park after a caller reported an individual in the group was being held in a trailer for more than two by smugglers. Law enforcement personnel used GPS coordinates supplied by the caller to pinpoint the mobile home’s exact location and discovered 12 illegal aliens inside.

Agents identified the foreign nationals as 10 men and two women between the ages of 19 and 42; none of whom required medical attention. All 12 subjects were then transported to the Nogales Station to be processed for immigration violations.

Smugglers continue to victimize illegal immigrants by exposing them to dangerous situations, including confinement for long periods of time.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials welcome assistance from the community. Contacting the Border Patrol to report illicit activity could result in saving someone’s life.
