Carefree Desert Gardens call for artisans and musicians

CAREFREE – The Town of Carefree is seeking qualified musicians and artisans to provide up-close and personal live demonstrations and performances to the public from March 23  through May within the Carefree Desert Gardens.

Visitors will be encouraged to stroll the scenic four acre Carefree Desert Gardens and experience up to half a dozen local artists and musicians daily, as they demonstrate techniques in such mediums as oil, water color, sketching, sculpting and other art forms. Multiple genres of music will also permeate the gardens. Visitors can also shop and dine at local restaurants all in the pedestrian friendly Carefree downtown area.

Musicians are asked to be self-contained and able to perform in the Garden as an individual, duo, trio or quartets. All talent will be vetted by the Town of Carefree and a stipend will be paid to all who participate. Applications will be accepted until March 15.

Applications and conditions can be found at the town website, www.VisitCarefree.com under Carefree Desert Gardens.
