California is blatantly defying many federal laws and they are now working on defying even more laws.
They have defined themselves as a sanctuary state and there are many cities within California that are also self-proclaimed sanctuary cities. They are openly refusing to assist or work with federal agencies regarding immigration. These policies have gotten Americans killed. There will be more.
Right now, California is working on automatic voter registration for ANYONE getting a California driver’s license. ANYONE, regardless of U.S. citizenship. Yes California can allow anyone to vote in their California STATE elections, but it is federally unconstitutional for non-citizens to vote for federal offices. The problem is that there is no way this can or will distinguish between someone in a private voting booth who is and is not a citizen. When they print ballots, they will have BOTH STATE and FEDERAL elective offices on them.
My bet is that California’s attorney general and elections officials will not print ballots for non-citizens and also for citizens. They will just put some form of disclaimer or instruction on a combined ballot and “TRUST” that voters will honorably follow federal law and not vote for federal offices when in the voting booth. If you believe this will work, you are naive. This is ripe for voter fraud in federal elections in California.
I suggest and urge Congress and the President to push for ending ALL federal contracts to sanctuary states and cities going forward. Without federal contract money, many California companies and businesses will close. Silicon Valley would crumble. I would also draw down military personnel and presence at various military bases in California and beef up in other states. I would go so far as to close some military bases and relocate them to other states and sell the land and buildings.
Unless California feels immense economic pain, they will continue to act lawlessly. The Left in that state is so entrenched and large that these types of Draconian policies must be implemented to get them to change their un-American lawlessness.
