Rod Rosenstein I suspect, is compromised. If he allows other FBI colleagues to fall, they will take him down as well. He is implicated in the Uranium One scandal along with Mueller and Holder and Clinton and Obama and Geitner and all the others who signed off on Uranium One.
This would explain why he seems so tone-deaf and clueless regarding the Mueller probe when questioned by Congress. His testimony is filled with deflections and willful blindness to the facts.
Note also how he says there is no evidence that meets the criteria or threshold to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate all of the various unresolved corruption scandals, yet he assigned a Special Counsel (Mueller) where there is no federal statute or violation cited. Not one Congressional member has pointed this out in a public hearing. Rosenstein has contradicted himself!
I firmly believe Rod Rosenstein is either personally involved in some complicity that would expose him to liability or else he is trying to provide cover for the FBI and his friends of many years.
Unless and until this corruption is weeded out and people are indicted and held to account, we will never trust the FBI or DOJ ever again. They had better not think they can sweep this under the rug. We know too much and they will not get away with it. Coverups never go well and they need to suck it up and just let the hammer fall on the guilty and cleanse the FBI and DOJ.
