Asian Festival invites vendors, sponsors and advertisers

SCOTTSDALE – The 22nd annual Arizona Asian Festival returns to Scottsdale Civic Center Mall for a 2-day celebration of all things Asian. The foods, the arts, the costumes and the timeless traditions of Asia’s diverse cultures will be offered and on display.

“This festival is one of the most colorful and exciting cultural festivals in our state,” claims James Park, Chair for 2017 festival chair. “This year we are honored to welcome the Nepalese community to our event, bringing our total to 17 different Asian cultures represented along our Avenue of Cultures.”

Highlights of the 2017 festival include special guests Reika Gumi, a Japanese all-girl dance group from Tokyo, Sunday’s Pan-Asian Fashion Show with over 100 models wearing traditional costumes, the 5000 years’ Chinese Tea Culture and the special mini-festival celebrating the Vietnamese culture, organized and sponsored by the Arizona Vietnamese Culture Club.

The Arizona Asian Festival runs Saturday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec., 10:00 am until 5:00 pm daily. Free admission and free parking, highly educational and family-friendly, and open to the public. Organizers anticipate up to 20,000 attendees.

The Arizona Asian Association was founded in 1988 with the mission of uniting Arizona’s diverse Asian communities, to advocate for their shared interests as citizens, and to strengthen the relationship between Asian Americans and all Arizonans.
