Just finished reading your Nov 1 issue.
Am terribly annoyed by the coverage of non local news.
Especially re Kaepernick. All that you write about is what we are bombarded with all over the press/TV/social media and is nothing new. Even your editorial covers the subject. And why write about the underwear bomber?
We have lived here since ’77 and have gone through various transformations of your paper. THE BLACK MOUNTAIN NEWS was the best. It was always informative on local matters, local personalities, local events. We have a myriad of artists surrounding us. Years ago, almost each issue included a well written artist profile. Or a profile of one of the exceptional high school students.
Bottom line: it was about our community.
Just my humble opinion.
