Agents arrest wanted felon in possession of gun, drugs

YUMA – Border Patrol agents assigned to the Integrated Targeting Team (ITT) in Blythe, California, stopped a vehicle shortly after midnight today and arrested a wanted felon in possession of a loaded handgun and drugs.

When agents conducted an immigration and criminal check on the male driver of a Chevrolet Malibu, records identified him as a 26-year-old U.S. citizen and convicted felon wanted for a parole violation out of Madera, California. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, agents found a loaded .45-caliber handgun, small amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine, and more than $7,000 in cash.

Agents later turned the man over to the Blythe Police Department, along with the vehicle and other items seized.
