The undefeated girls varsity volleyball team faced off against Nogales High School on Thursday, November 2, and won the game, 3-1. The varsity team went into the state quarterfinals game feeling confident.

“We are definitely expecting to win,” said senior Casey Davis, before the game.

The Falcons prepared for the game by listening to hyped up music in the locker room and just having fun and loosening up. They do this for every game to settle their nerves.

“It’s always full of energy, everybody’s always screaming, and it’s really loud,” said Davis.

As for the crowd, they were ready to cheer on the Falcons. “ I do think the Falcons are going to win,” said Kylie Womack, a freshman spectator.

The varsity volleyball team played in about 20 games for the regular season. In the past, the Falcons have won State several times. However, in 2016, they lost to Prescott. This has made the team hungry to win State this year, and the team believes they can do it.
