Michael L. Guiver and Cooper

Michael L. Guiver, 74, of Carefree, passed away at home on Oct. 26, 2017. Michael was born to Norman and Dorothy Guiver in Stoughton, Guilford Surrey, England on February 4, 1943.

His car shop at 7th Ave. and Van Buren was home to many budding race car drivers over the years, and along with his long-time friend, Jack Gifford, built, restored and raced many different cars. Michael moved to Carefree in 2006 and built his last two homes in the Boulders, where he lived until he passed away.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents in England and is survived by his sister, June Wellburn of Guilford, Surry, England, his daughter Joanne Walcker, and her husband Mike of Cashmere, Washington, his son Steven Guiver, and his wife Chris and their two children, Trinity and Wyatt, of Cashmere, Washington, his long-time love, Karen Bohm of Phoenix, and his faithful dog, Cooper.
