Arizona’s tallest fresh cut Christmas tree arrives Oct. 24

WHAT: For the 16th consecutive year, Outlets at Anthem will welcome and place the state’s largest fresh cut Christmas tree!

The exciting and visual event will include delivery of the 80-foot tree on an enormous flatbed truck then its placement with a heavy-duty construction crane. The tree’s anticipated arrival time is 6:30 a.m.

Depending on wind, news stations may fly over the tree arrival site for spectacular photographs of the tree being lifted into place around 7:45 a.m.

The tree arrival event kicks off the holiday season. Santa will be on-site to welcome the fantastic spectacle along with other holiday visuals like carolers and a newly renovated Santa’s Cottage.

7:45 a.m. – Tree lifted into place

WHERE: Outlets at Anthem is in Phoenix off the I-17, just 15 minutes north of the Loop 101.

This year’s tree is 80 feet tall topped with a copper star

The tree’s width is approximately 22 feet across

More than 1.5 miles of LED lights are used to decorate the tree

More than 5,000 ornaments and bows decorate the tree

To secure the tree, it is lowered into a specially designed, permanent 3-foot-wide by 7-foot-deep well.

·         Six guy wires are attached to the top portion of the tree to keep it steady and secure throughout the holiday season.
