I received your commentary today in my Google alerts, and I was frankly appalled at how you described 9/11 as being fake, and contrived.
My Mother, Hilda Marcin, was a passenger on United Flight 93. She was moving from New Jersey to California to live with us that day after she had just retired at age 79.
I’ve been to Shanksville; have you? I saw the burning wreckage two days after 9/11, where my mother’s remains were found and identified by the County Coroner, Wally Miller. Her purse was retrieved from the Hemlock Grove nearby; pictures of our family were found strewn among the wreckage, and I can go on an on, but I won’t. I have worked on our Families of Flight 93 Organization since shortly after its inception. We have worked diligently with the National Park Service to build a beautiful tribute and Memorial to the passengers and crew members who gave their lives that day.
I am sickened by all you’ve said about the World Trade Center and those poor people who were jumping from the upper floors; one of my neighbors in California was on his first day of work at Cantor Fitzgerald; he had four children — need I say more.
We live here in Arizona now; not far from your office in Cave Creek – we are in Legend Trail and to read this garbage is so unforgiveable and unsettling; just a real disgusting viewpoint about how your fellow Americans and others, died that day.
In my book, they were all heroes, and all will be forever remembered in the hearts of people who are of a sound mind.
