The Donald

my view

Don Sorchych, my viewPresident Donald Trump has been in office for about seven months now and what a ride it has been. He has broken all the political rules, which of late have been politically correct. PC he is not!

He is facing daunting odds since PC and its derivatives have been around for generations. From kindergarten through high school and college, liberal Democrats are in charge and forge youthful and adult minds.

There is an old joke with many variations, generally like this: “If you aren’t a liberal when you are 20 you have no heart. If you aren’t a conservative at age 40, you have no brain.” Intelligence and judgment do develop with years.

Then there is geography. The two coasts have been Democrat but Trump upset that. The West Coast is still Democrat and the East Coast is about half Democrat but most population centers are lefties as are Minnesota, Illinois, New Mexico and Colorado. But the Trump election painted the USA red.

The whole liberal press corps has turned against Trump and his administration as have most newspapers. And they are playing dirty. There is one false narrative after another and they never look back and admit how wrong they were and apologize. Same with the talking heads on television and radio.

But brilliantly, Trump has captured the attention of the press and all their attention is diverted to attacking him. In the meanwhile he is getting things done, about the wall, about immigration, about foreign policy and even about trying to corral those numb senators who only think about winning their next election.

Trumps Tweets are worth reading. Recently he stopped using the term “Swamp” for the Washington establishment ad changed it to “Sewer.”

My friend Blaine Keith forwarded these desires from Trump. It is from Nona Isaacson who sent it to retired General Carl Schneider:

“Subject: Trump — 13 Actions

“If you listen to Trump, he is hitting many of the hot buttons of the electorate. But you have to listen to him and not be distracted by his showmanship and obnoxious behavior.

“I like the list of 13 things that I, as a senior American citizen, want:

“Trump is at least talking about issues that most Americans are concerned about. My mantra about Trump is this: Truthfully, we are usually in agreement with most of what he says. We are offended by his brash manner. What matters is that he covers most of the 13 things we as seniors want – at least I do for sure.

“1. Hillary: held accountable for her previous wrongs!

“2. Put “GOD” back in America!!

“3. Borders: Closed or tightly guarded.

“4. Congress: On the same retirement & healthcare plans as everybody else.

“5. Congress: Obey its own laws NOW!

“6. Language: English only!

“7. Culture: Constitution and the Bill of Rights!

“8. Drug Free: Mandatory Drug Screening before & during Welfare!

“9. Freebies: NONE to Non-Citizens!

“10. Budget: Balance the damn thing!

“11. Foreign Countries: Stop giving them our money! Charge them for our help! We need it here.

“12. Fix the TAX CODE!

“And most of all

“13. “RESPECT OUR MILITARY AND OUR FLAG!!

“We the people are coming!

So here it is and if Trump can get all 13 done it will prove he is a genius.

That is a long difficult list but he must make time to:

1. Arrest politicians who practice sanctuary city policies.

2. Investigate and arrest former U.S. Attorneys General Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder.

3. Investigate anti-government actions of Barack Obama.

4. Thoroughly investigate the 911 incident and jail those responsible for involvement and knowledge of the truth.

5. Find means to prevent Islam’s attempt to make America a Caliphate.

6. Protect our northern border’s security using modern technology and satellites.

That the country’s voters made the right choice is beyond question. Trump is the last chance to erase the damages caused by past administrations. We adopted Trump’s promises because of his record of accomplishments and his lack of political background since politicians lied to us for 40 years. Now the same liars, media, Democrats and schools fight Trump to stop his progress and kick him out of office. Trump’s own party has not supported him, having just dropped the ball on repealing Obamacare and the swing vote was John McCain, our own senator, our own aisle crosser.

McCain is probably terminal, but Senator Flake should be voted out. House members must have their voting records studied.
