The “shoot to kill” myth

There is always a “Hollywood-educated” citizen jumping up to chastise LEOs for “shooting to kill” or “shooting to wound.” Anyone who has been trained to shoot under stress knows that single-shot death-dealing gunfire is generally a Hollywood myth…unless the placement happens to be accidental. Also, it is up to the LEO at the scene to determine what step of the continuum of force needs to be applied. In this case, a less-than-lethal (LTL) device was used, and the 918 citizen survived. .

By the way, biceps is both singular and plural. A “bicep” does not exist, except in the keyboard of an incompetent writer.
