Earn free entry to the Arizona State Fair with 4-can food donation to St. Mary’s on all three “We Care Wednesdays”

Phoenix – The Arizona State Fair will partner with St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance for the fifth consecutive year, expanding their relationship of the special “We Care Wednesdays” promotion sponsored by Sanderson Ford during all three Wednesdays during the Oct. 7 – 30 run of the fair.

Here’s the deal: Anyone who brings a donation of four canned food items (per person) to the fair on Wednesday, Oct. 12, Oct. 19 and Oct. 26 will receive FREE ADMISSION (normally $10) from noon to 6 p.m. The offer is good for an unlimited amount of people, but each person will need four items to receive the discount. A reminder that bottled water, baby food, diapers or packaged pasta such as ramen noodles will not be accepted as a food item.

The MOST NEEDED items included canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats like tuna, canned beans, peanut butter and boxed cereal.

And the deals don’t stop there!

All day Wednesday, all rides and games at the Arizona State Fair are just $2 each. And your free admission to the fair – provided you present your can donation PRIOR TO 6 p.m. – will also score free general admission seats to concert performances by Cheap Trick (Oct. 12), American Idol winner Scotty McCreery (Oct. 19) and the Arizona return of Slayer (Nov. 26 at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Gates to each show open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m.

All of the food donated will benefit St. Mary’s through the Sanderson Ford-sponsored Operation Santa Claus effort.

Just look for the volunteers stationed at each of the four main entrances to the fair and exchange your donation for a voucher that can be used at the ticket trailer. Over the last five years, St. Mary’s has collected more than 200,000 pounds of food that are placed into emergency food boxes to help Arizonans in need.

So come on out on “We Care Wednesdays” and help yourself to a great deal while helping to feed Arizona’s hungry. St. Mary’s thanks Operation Santa Claus, Sanderson Ford and the Arizona State Fair for this opportunity and encourages everyone to have fun at the fair!
