Please plan to support the employees of the Silver Spur Saloon and Restaurant who lost their jobs after the recent fire by attending the Creekers Never Give Up Charity Auction at the Roadhouse on July 23 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. You are invited to come as early as 2 p.m. to hear the band Glade Wilson and have fun at the dunk tank all day and stay late to hear the band Smashbox live from 8 – 10 p.m.

The director of the effort made it very clear that ALL collected funds go to employees (not 90 percent, not 80 percent but 100 percent). All items including T-Shirts have been donated so nothing will be taken from the collected monies. People working the auction including the bands Smashbox and Glade Wilson and the Roadhouse have donated their time to ensure all funds will be used to assist employees with their standard bills, ie. utilities, rent, etc. Payments will be made by a local charity, Scott Foundation, directly to the payee on the bill (ie. Cox, APS, etc.). Payment will not be made to any employees. Each employee will have an account set up with Scott Foundation and will bring their bills in so the charity can pay directly.

Support the Spur employees; buy a CREEKERS NEVER GIVE UP T-shirt which also has the Silver Spur Saloon and Restaurant logo on the front. T-Shirts are currently available at the Roadhouse, The Hideaway, Grotto Cafe, Kiwanis Marketplace and the Foothills Food Bank. T-shirts are also available from Silver Spur employees.

If you are not attending the event but would like to donate, checks can be written out to the Scott Foundation attention Silver Spur, P.O. Box 4927, Cave Creek, AZ 85327. Donations can also be made online at www.scott-foundation.org.

If you have items or gift cards you’d like to donate you may bring them to the Roadhouse and ask for Kevin or Taylor.

We hope to see all of you on the 23rd. “Creekers Never Give Up”
