Phoenix – In yet another blow to President Obama’s failed health care law, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Health Net announced it will drop Obamacare plans next year in Maricopa and Pinal counties. This decision will force tens of thousands of Arizonans to switch plans next year and create even less choice for families. For the counties where Blue Cross Blue Shield will remain, consumers are facing a proposed 65 percent premium rate increase.

This news comes after a recent announcement that Humana and United Healthcare will leave the Obamacare marketplace, adversely impacting rural Arizona. In total, more than 100,000 Arizonans will be left to find new health insurance plans next year.

Arizona is ground zero for Obamacare failures as families face increased premiums.
